First Aid

Although hockey is a relatively safe sport, first aid pitch-side can still make a huge difference in the treatment of sustained injuries. It is mandatory for all junior training sessions and matches to have a first aider present.

First Aid kits are supplied by Tulse Hill Dulwich Club to team captains and/or team managers. It is their responsibility to keep the kits fully stocked. Any required supplements throughout the season will be provided for by the Club when requested.

For all our guidelines and policies on Welfare, Safeguarding, First Aid and Conduct please visit our Policies & Guidelines page.

Risk Assessments

Please find below risk assessments for sites used for our in-season midweek and weekend programmes, our summer hockey programme and holiday camps.

Note: Group/Team Captains (or their delegate(s)) are responsible for player registration for all in-season weekend activities (or Team Managers in the case of junior away fixtures). Player lists for each group are accessible via the relevant Club Buzz or Teamo groupings, along with player medical details and photo consent.

Disclosure And Barring Service (DBS) Checks

Tulse Hill & Dulwich Hockey Club follows England Hockey's safe recruitment guidance. We registered and used England Hockey’s Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). The DBS is a government-run organisation that aids organisations in making safer recruitment choices. They do this by processing and issuing DBS checks that disclose any criminal convictions, warnings, cautions, or reprimands held in England or Wales. They also maintain adult and child barred lists and make decisions on whether individuals should be added to said lists.
