Two things dominated the pre-match preparation for the THD M1s as they looked to continue their good run of form away at Barnes: traffic and a controversial haircut. While the coach, captain, and vice-captain were stuck in traffic, attention was focused on the mullet sported by one team member. Popular with some, but unpopular with most, the haircut had DOD decided before pushback.

When the coach and captains did arrive, the focus turned to the game (and only the game not the league table of our league or any others), with the team having a point to prove after a 5-2 loss to Barnes at home earlier in the season.

A frantic start saw some good footwork from Riri put THD 1 up before Barnes scored twice to go into half-time with a 2-1 lead. The talk at half-time was simple, mark your man and put the work in. A committed defensive performance in the second half restricted Barnes to no chances of note, while up the other end, Matt P and Arthur combined for the equaliser before an improvised chip over the rushing keeper from Arthur put THD 3-2 ahead. Despite talk of an illegal stick and a customary Matt P card near the end, THD held on for all 3 points in another comeback win.
