The clash between THD L5s and the Wayfarers Eagles had all the makings of a classic: youthful energy versus hard-earned experience, enthusiasm versus knowing when not to panic.

For the first half, it was very much a story of containment.

THD started slowly, soaking up the Eagles’ boundless running and optimism, with neither side able to break the deadlock.

At 0–0 at the half, the Eagles will have felt buoyant; THD, meanwhile, looked quietly unconcerned.

The breakthrough came courtesy of the ever cool, calm and collected Sophia, who calmly did what experience does best, found the net and made it look inevitable.

That opening goal lit a fire under THD, who suddenly remembered they had a match to win. With momentum firmly shifted, two more goals followed in quick succession, delivered with the efficiency of a side that knows opportunities should never be wasted.

From there, THD’s experience fully told - composure, control and a touch of ruthless finishing saw THD L5s close out a 3–0 victory.

A slow burn, perhaps — but once ignited, THD were unstoppable.
