THD Club (Thanks Jim!) has organised England Hockey to run umpire assessment and training on *25th Feb* at THD. They'll come down, do some training and then are offering 8 slots for Level 1 assessment.

In order to be assessed you'll need an EH Umpire Number before 25 Feb. To get that:

1. Do the EH online rules test: https://hockeyhub.englandhockey.co.uk/rules
2. Book an online ‘Level 1’ umpiring course (2 hrs, you pay £30 which THD will reimburse if you then umpire 3 games): https://hockeyhub.englandhockey.co.uk/officiating-offer
3. After doing this course you will be “Level 1 Unassessed” qualified and will be sent an EH Umpire Number

If you then pass your assessment game on 25 Feb you will become "Level 1 Assessed" qualified (full Level 1). For this, THD offers £15 subs credit per game to L1 assessed umpires who umpire 3 or more games in a season. Credit is set against their subs the following season.

This is a great opportunity to complete your training and get your Level 1 qualification, but you would need to sign-up soon as it takes two weeks for the EH umpiring number to come through!
