John Orwell Sports Centre

Our Men's 5s arrived at John Orwell on saturday in good spirits having beaten East London M6s the week before and been voted 'Team of the week' and with a similar lineup to the week prior. 

We started strongly. 2 goals within 10 mins got THD off to a flier. Firstly, a short corner in which Narns Morse fed Jack Swift to score at the near post. Jack then turned provider for captain Tom Harris. Dribbling neatly past the Wapping defence before putting it on a plate for the skipper to steer home and score his first of the afternoon. 

The second half brought 3 further goals. First as Narns Morse scored a straight hit at a short corner. Narns then ran through on goal before setting up Tom Harris to put THD 4-0 up, a nicely placed shot past a diving keeper and 2 players on the line. 

In the final 10 mins, the captain completed his hat-trick scoring from a short corner to complete the 5-0 win and his 5th goal in 2 games. The team were excellent in possession and added another clean sheet to their post xmas run of results. 

MoM was voted as Henry Turpie who's work rate in midfield was exceptional. There were also nominations for Jack Swift, Tom Harris and Narns Morse.
