The Men's 5s made it 7 wins on the bounce and 9 wins in 10 matches on Saturday as they won a local derby versus London Gamblers M2s.

The match got off to a flier as the M5s found themselves 1-0 down within 1 min of the start. However, the 5s dusted themselves down and eased into the game going 1-1 and then 2-1 before 10 mins had been played. Both goals were scored by 19 year old Dutch star Tim Cooper who has seen a real run of form scoring 5 in his last two games.

Gamblers made it 2-2 with a dubious equalizer before THD again restored their lead. This time James Adams who latched onto a neat through ball by Seb Down then rounded the keeper before slotting into the back of the net. We went into half time 3-2 up.

At HT the skipper called for calmness following a frantic opening 35 mins and a clinicalness which we definitely got. First, Tim Cooper completed his hat trick after nice build up play involving Narns Morse and Tom Hosking. James Adams' nice short corner routine was nicely tucked away by Jack Swift and then James Adams got himself a second making it 6-2. Gamblers got a consolation 3rd goal (assisted by the foot of one of their strikers) which didn't matter in the end as THD ran out 6-3 winners and maintained their recent run of form.

The M5s move up to 3rd in Division 5 and with two wins from their final two games this will see them finish in the promotion places which could be considered one of the best turnarounds in the clubs history after being 3rd bottom at christmas.

We move, we improve! Onto next week vs 2nd placed Brom Beck Harriers (3pm at Langley Park School).
