THD M2
Following a successful Cup campaign last year, the quest for back-to-back victories started with an intense inter-club affair, having drawn THD M3’s in the first round, coming away with a 3-1 win.
Round 2 saw THD return to a well-known South London rival in Teddington, facing their M3S in a very competitive match. Despite heading to their ground with only 11 players, we managed to pull off a remarkable result, coming away with a 2-1 win against all odds.
The quarter finals saw us host Crawley M1’s at home in another back-and-forth encounter. However, THD’s determination to make it back to finals day saw a very dominant second half display turn into a 5-0 win, advancing us onto the semi-finals against Atherstone Adders. Coming off a title-winning season in the Midlands, we knew it would be a very tough battle. A back-and-forth encounter with some brilliant goals from both teams ultimately saw THD book their spot in back-to-back finals with a 4-3 win.
THD W4
After unfortunately not being able to travel during the first round of the T4 Bowl, THD W4 built some serious momentum across the Salver competition.
Their Salver journey began with a trip to Kent to play Sevenoaks with a convincing 6-1 win, followed by a Valentine's Day trip to Brighton & Hove, a closer game this time with a 2-1 win (followed by lots of celebrations in local establishments).
The final game played was another convincing 5-1 win over the travelling side, Redhill 1. A walkover in the final round cleared the path for THD W4 and their first appearance at finals weekend, hopefully not the last!
This year's squad was made up of the W4 and W5 players, captained by Ruth Grimoldby, along with a refreshed coaching lineup headed up by Guynain international Marvin Dannett and Men's Club Captain Sam Close.
