Rufey Huges and Lorenzo Shone Selected for Talent Academy Cup

We are thrilled to announce that two of our THD family members, Rufey Hughes and Lorenzo Shone, who have risen through the ranks from our juniors and are now shining stars in our Men's 3's team, have been selected for the Talent Academy Cup - the first step towards representing England!

"Rufey and Lorenzo played an integral part in the M3s season as they made the step up into Senior hockey. With a combined total of 33 appearances, 9 goals and 6 assists, they helped the team solidify their place in London Division 3 South after being promoted the previous year. I wish them all the best in the TA cup and look forward to welcoming them back to the team in the new season, ready to challenge for promotion and to continue their development at the club". Tim Patton, M3 Captain.

The Talent Academy Cup will be taking place at Nottingham Hockey Centre between the 28th - 31st of July. This event is the culmination of the Talent Academy's hard work throughout the 23/24 season. This event brings together all the talented academics across England and Wales to play against each other in the bid to win the Cup.

Carla Bennett, our superstar umpire will also be officiating at the tournament. You can read more about her umpring journey here.

Congratulations, Rufey and Lorenzo, on this incredible achievement! England beckons, and we couldn't be prouder. Good luck in the tournament. We know you'll make us proud!
